The last day of the trip, a sleepless night at the hostel, bustling Vilnius, and the journey home.

The last day of the trip wasn’t as boring as the first, even though I got stuck in Alytus, but overall it was a good day, so let’s start from the beginning…

Yes, I didn’t sleep at the hostel again, and the night shift staff kept me company during my sleeplessness. I drank a lot of coffee again and was ready to stay up all night without sleep…

And the city was buzzing all night, and I visited a few of my favorite spots during “Culture Night,” even though it was raining and my legs were tired… from Vingrių Street through Vokiečių to Vilniaus and Cathedral Square—and there was certainly plenty to keep my legs busy….

and by 9 a.m. I was already at the bus station, and at 9:45 a.m. I took the express bus to Alytus, where I hung around until the 2:50 p.m. bus home to Veisiejai; though I didn’t fall asleep at the station, after a sleepless night I felt drained and exhausted…

And even though the trip was pretty boring, especially the first part, I feel satisfied and happy; I even saved the tickets from the trip for the head of the social services department, and I’m really glad they let me go…
