Today, at 10 a.m., my journey to Vilnius via Kaunas will begin, and I’m happy that I can finally leave the edge of my world behind and experience real big-city life…
Although I was hesitant until the last minute because of the weather, it’s still better to get away somewhere somehow than to keep sitting in this madhouse… “Culture Night” and the “Living Library” await me as a reader, and the night will be full of adventures anyway…
And, of course, Kaunas and a meeting with Ugnius M.—a person I’ve missed and haven’t seen in a long time… and a little café in the middle of the city, and we’ll see how things go from there.
I’ll be staying in Vilnius at the “Downtown” hostel, and I’ll be heading home on Saturday. As always, I’ll have to collect the tickets for the head of the social services department, but even though it’ll be boring, I’m ready for that tedious bus ride, because apparently it’ll be safer that way for them and for me…
